Arugambay – (Surfer’s paradise)
It is on the list of top ten surf points in the world. Situated on the South-East side of Sri Lanka, 325km from Colombo and close to the Pottuvil town. The waves at Arugambay are best between May and September during the dry season. Arugambay is famous for its legendary right-handers, and receives the same swells that hit Indonesia midyear.

Adam’s peak or Sri Pada is one of the most important places of warship for all Buddhist devotees, with a height of some 7353ft. and this could be the most venerated mountain in the world. It is believed the footprint on the top of the mountain to have been setup by Buddha during his last visit to Sri Lanka.

Bambarakanda (241m.- 790ft.)
Sri Lanka’s highest (seasonal) waterfall is situated on a turn-off on the main Haputhale- Balangoda highway, in secluded surroundings. The waterfall plunges down from the Bambaragala Mountain is extremely impressive from November to February. |

Diyaluma ( 171m.- 560ft.)
2nd highest (perennial) waterfall in the country is situated near Koslanda, beside the main highway to Wellawaya at the 124th milepost. A dramatic cascade of Poonagala Oya which plunges in a straight drop down at a dark cliff-face, it is an unforgettable sight. |

Rawana Ella (54m – 177ft.)
Located between the 12th and 13th mileposts on the Ell-Wellawaya main road in close proximity to renowned Ella-Gap. The steam, a tributary of Kirindi Oya plunges with a foaming spray over a series of ledges into the valley close to the road. Rawana of the Ramayana legend is said to have lived in one of the caves above the waterfalls. |

Dunhinda (58m. - 190ft.)
The Badulu Oya (river) falls down 190ft. through a narrow forested gorge to form one of Sri Lanka’s most dramatic and beautiful waterfalls, Dunhinda, which means “Smoky Water”. The falls may be reached from Badulla on the Mahiyangana road and then by a jungle path (about 1.5km). |

Ramboda (109m. - 357ft)
Located on the Kandy-Nuwara Eliya main road at the 55th milepost are the beautiful twin falls at Ramboda where the 109m. Panna Oya meets the Ramboda falls. |

St. Clair (73m.- 241ft)
It is located on the Nuwara Eliya – Hatton main road. This is a double cascade waterfall and has an impressive breadth to match its height . |

Devon (86m. – 281)
It is no doubt the fall was named in the last century by a homesick English tea planter for his West Country birthplace. Located very close to the St.Clair waterfall. |
